Refunds, Cancellations, and Scheduling
These policies explain payment, scheduling, cancellations, refunds, and the rules that apply to each Tough Study offer. Any right required by applicable law takes priority.
Payment
Payment for each service is due in full before work begins and after any required service agreement and cancellation notice are provided. Tough Study Together and Executive Path begin with a fit request. If accepted, each client pays in full before the engagement begins.
Scheduling
Live sessions are generally offered on weekday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. These are service windows, not a promise that every hour will be available. Tierre confirms actual options after the required payment and intake.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Request a reschedule at least 24 hours before the session. A cancellation within 24 hours or a missed session counts as a used session. Tierre may make an exception for an emergency. Arriving late does not extend the scheduled end time. If Tough Study must cancel a session, it will be rescheduled without penalty to the client.
Refunds for live services
After any cancellation period required by law, a client who decides not to continue after the first completed session may email Tough Study before the second session begins to request a refund equal to 50% of the fee paid for that engagement. The amount retained covers onboarding, preparation, workbook delivery, the completed first session, and capacity reserved for the engagement. No refunds are issued after the second session begins, except where required by law.
Career Story Revamp
Career Story Revamp does not include a live session, so the first-session refund rule does not apply. After any cancellation period required by law, a cancellation received before Tough Study begins substantive review or drafting is eligible for a 50% refund. Once substantive review or drafting begins, the fee is non-refundable, except where required by law.
Self-Guided workbook
The Self-Guided workbook is a digital product. Its purchase is non-refundable after the workbook is delivered, except for a duplicate charge, a delivery or access problem Tough Study cannot resolve, or a refund required by law. Tough Study will provide reasonable support if a customer cannot open or download the delivered file.
Together groups
Tough Study Together includes four shared 90-minute sessions. All two to four participants must attend the same scheduled sessions. Separate group-session times and individual make-up sessions are not offered. Each participant pays separately and accepts the terms individually. Refund eligibility is determined per participant under the live-service policy above. If one participant withdraws, the engagement continues with the remaining participants.
When Tough Study cannot complete the work
If Tough Study ends an engagement and cannot provide promised work, the client will receive any refund required by the agreement or applicable law for services that were not provided.
How approved refunds are returned
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. The payment provider or financial institution controls when the credit appears on the client’s account.
California clients
California clients receive statutory written-agreement and cancellation rights that take priority over this business policy. Read the California Client Rights and Compliance page before purchasing.
